Antioxidants are substances that slow down oxidative processes by binding free radicals. Antioxidant system in the human body over the years begins to cope worse with the nature of the task. Particularly noticeable function is weakened in people living in megacities and industrial centers. Antioxidant drugs in many ways contribute to the recovery of the body, strengthening health and prolonging the period of youth.
The benefits of antioxidants
The essence of the action of antioxidants is from active radicals to make inactive or inactive, preventing unwanted and sometimes dangerous processes in the body. Destruction of certain cells in the "attack" of free radicals becomes quite realistic, and therefore antioxidants are required to extinguish the "enemy army".
The main groups of antioxidants
To date, scientists know a huge number of various antioxidants, the number of which grows every year, but they can all be divided into four categories:
Vitamins. Can be fat or water soluble. The latter provide protection of ligaments, vessels and muscles, and fat-soluble protects fatty tissues in the body. The most powerful among the fat-soluble are vitamin A, beta-carotene and vitamin E. As for water soluble, among them the most powerful are vitamin C (ascorbic acid-antioxidant) and vitamins of group B.
Bioflavonoids. This type of antioxidants in the preparations also occurs, and also found in red wine in the form of catechins, and in green tea in the form of quartzetine. Free radicals bioflavonoids affect, like a trap, overwhelming their development.
Enzymes. These antioxidants in tablets act as catalysts, helping to neutralize free radicals. They are also produced by the body.
Minerals. Organism is not synthesized, but enter the body from the outside in the form of products and antioxidant drugs from the list. The most powerful are calcium, zinc and manganese.
